Pizzando pop-up dinners at Spoonbar
Get a preview of Pizzando opening in August
Spoonbar plays host to a pop up preview of soon to open Pizzando. Spoonbar’s Executive Chef Louis Maldonado and pizza pro Chef Liza Shaw, formerly of San Francisco’s A16, will offer a three course rustic Italian family style menu for $32 per person. Pizzando will pop up at Spoonbar every other Wednesday starting June 28th through July.
Menu items will include appetizers including Grilled Romaine Hearts, Breadcrumbs and Crescenza Cheese and wood fired pizzas such as Stinging Nettles, Fontina and Hen of the Wood Mushrooms or Pizza Bianca which will allow diners to build out their pizza as they wish with choices including Burrata, Lardo, and Prosciutto. The menu will also feature hearty dishes such as Fried Whole Chicken, Vinegar and Aleppo Pepper, and pasta including Spaghetti, Egg, Pancetta, Pecorino.
Spoonbar's Cappy Sorentino will feature a selection of Classic Italian aperitifs and digestives he's developed for Pizzando.
The Pizzando pop up previews will have limited availability and will feature two seatings taking place each evening – the first at 6:30pm and the second at 8:30pm. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling (707) 433-7222.
